  • The Right To Die

I hear from countless pro-life campaigns that fetuses have the right to live. But if fetuses have "the right to live" they must equally have the right to die. First let me start by saying the fetuses don't have the right to live. Because rights were created by man solely to keep communities intact and not consuming itself. Those days are long gone we no longer are codependent on each other as we once were. We no longer are a species fighting for survival, we have ironically overpopulated the earth.

Now going to the point that a not fully developed fetus without a brain (meaning no emotions and incapable of feeling pain) is the same as a infant or even premature born infant is a false claim. Would you go as far as to say that every sperm in the body of man is equivalent to a baby? Or how about the eggs inside women? If so every man who has ever masturbated and every woman who has had a period is a murderer. Now people may argue that the potential of life is wroth something. That may be so, but to automatically assume that the fetus will have a positive outcome is idiotic. Abortion is a way to spare children from being born into a world where they would most likely suffer.

Abortion is not murder, you by definition cannot murder something that is not born. Like you cannot miss what you never had. To the dismay of many people (mostly religious) sex is no longer an act solely meant for reproduction. And it is not immature or irresponsible to have sex and not want a child. And since this is the real world and murphy's law is in affect people will get pregnant unintentionally. Now aborting the child seems like the moral thing to do, rather than bringing that child up in a home that may be broken or to parents who are abusive. I will not mention rape cases, because if you want to deny rape victims abortions you have no heart and are truly a savage and have no place or right to discuss this topic or any.

But back to the point of being entitled to life and death equally. We as people are afraid of death. Not all of us are afraid of death, me being an example. But the majority of people are and have always been afraid of death. This is why people pour into religion regardless of race and geographic location. So when people say "everyone believes in something, it has to be a good idea." that is bullshit, we should not glorify our fear of death. It is our fear of death that allow us to be tricked into giving up the slight time we have here on earth, which is truly our only life. It is nature that helps us and puts us out of our misery when we become too weak and brittle to go on. Even with science and medical advances now that our lives are longer no one wants to live forever. No one wants to live forever are their body falls to pieces, we would be begging to be put to death the same way cancer patients are killed by morphine to escape from the pain. I have the right to kill myself or to remain living no one should tell me what to do with my life. Yet in the United States of America where I live it is illegal to commit suicide. Now how can you be breaking the law by taking your own life, meaning that if I were to fail and some how survive I would be arrested and punished? How can anyone justify that? Well it seems to me that wrongly we base some of our laws on the gospel. Since it is a "sin" to take your own life (intelligently put in by the people who wrote the bible because if it was ok to kill youself everyone would be killling themselves to get to jesus.) People have kill themselves that we look up to like Ernest Hemingway one of greatest American writers, Socrates committed sucicide as well did Vincent Van Gogh. Now according to the bible these men are sinners and will burn forever, but does the fact they took their own lives negate the great work they have done. Does suicide make Starry Night anyless perfect and does A Farwell To Arms become less prominent and brutally honest?

We all do not have the right to live, but we all have the right to death.

  • Israel and Palestine.

This conflict that has been going on now for years seems to be a new topic of hot debate. Sadly in our popular and main news stations we see an extreme bias towards the Israelis. This extremely unfair and idiotic war is spun so much by the media that it seems as Israel is the poor defenseless nation and Palestine the tyrant back by larger foreign military support.

But the reality of the conflict in Gaza is that Israel along with the support of the United States and other foreign powers are exploiting and terrorizing the Palestinian people. The United States wanted to spread democracy through the world thinking it would work (because hopefully their guy wold win) but during the elections in Palestine Hamas won the election. Hamas being an "anti-american" organization/government drew the attention of the United States. It seems that even through a fair and open election the consesus of the Palestinian people was not enough just because they did not elect an american friendly government. This sounds like hyprocicy at its finest.

If you merely look at this war's casaulities you can see the complete one-sidedness of it. (These numbers may not be 100% accuract but gives a rough estimate of the ratio between Israeli and Palestinian lives lost)

Now after observing the chart how does the war look now? Fair and balanced? Two sided with equal amount of arms and support fighting in an endless battle? And how does the news and politicians have the audacity to claim the Palestine is the aggressor. This bias may arise for many reasons. After World War II the United States among other allies gave the Israeli's the state of Israel. This state was not recognize by everyone immediately, the first country to recognize the state of Israel was the United States of America. Other reaseons for the support of Israel is that and the United States share a common "religious foundation."
The common Judeo-Christian foundation that america precieves to have along with the Jewish culture that the Israeli's settlers live gives another bond between the US and Israel. Palestine is an arab country and ever since 9/11 anything arab or middle eastern is seen as the plague.

This conflict is the cause of religious dogma and politics. Nations working for temporary soultions, ceasefires that fall apart. It seems to me that the United States would have a better course of action against a country that they don't support or like besides carpet bombing those fuckers or arming their enemies.

What do you think about the conflict between Palestine and Israel? How much do you blame it on religion and how much do you blame it on dogma and stubbornness?
